Update November 2, 2009 - The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal resumes on November 16, 2009.
Udate October 16, 2008 - The Canadian Human Rights Commission will allow a tribunal to hear a human rights complaint regarding First Nations children in state care.

Cindy Blackstock of the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada (FNCFCS) is requesting support for the UN complaint. See http://www.fncfcs.com/home.html for more information. The FNCFCS and the Assembly of First Nations http://www.afn.ca/ co-filled the complaint against the Government of Canada in regards to the under-funding of First Nations child welfare services on reserve.
